Respite care and convalescent care is short term care designed to help people recover from an operation or illness with the support of our superb care staff and facilities. Respite stays are a minimum of two weeks and can last up to a few months. Individual care plans are tailored to each resident’s requirements to help them recover as soon as possible.

The Chimes Residential Care Home offers award-winning care in purpose-built, luxury surroundings, which provide the resident with the best chance of full recovery. Many of our respite residents enjoy their stay so much that they decide to remain with us after their recovery.

I would like to say how proud i am to work at such a great care home, with great staff, great managment team, and the owners of the home who are always around for support, and actively involved every day. Also im super proud of the recent CQC inspection, we have just received our report, took place on 28th of april 2017, the report was amazing got all green for the service we provide, the report will soon be published on line, so look out for it, then who over reads the report can make there own mind up, well done to everyone here for their hard work and support

We Make them Happy

Every resident has a person centered care plan. We have an electronic care system that enables carers to be able to record information throughout the day. The home has very good working and professional relationships with stakeholders such as a Podiatrist, Domiciliary Dentist, District Nurses, and monthly GP ward rounds. We feel the most important part of the resident’s day is assisting them to start their morning routine.

We believe in keeping our residents’ minds active, even if they suffer from dementia. From group activities, personal centered activities, memory games, community trips and celebrating key days, our activity coordinator will create a bespoke plan for each of our residents.
